The Starting Point

This is the starting point of my blog.   I originally had a poem posted here that I wrote, but I would really rather keep that poem private.   Even though it's a blog, I don't have to put myself or anyone I know on blast.   I've been known to be a little crazy.   I'll check that here.

Anyway, I realize that there are many blogs out there.   Why another?   It's not really that I have a lot
to say, but, actually, I really do at times.   The goal of my blog, just to have an idea, is to tell my thoughts.   I'd like to give a little word of the day on certain days.   I'll share little quips that I've learned and excellent tips that could be very useful.   You'll hear my take on life.   I'd be really open to having an "Ask, ask me anything" type of segment.   I've been known to have good advice.   Maybe my ex-husband may not agree.   He used to say, "It must be really great living in your world."

Well, guess what, IT IS!!!!

Okay.   So that's the goal.   I hope it's fun for us all.

THINKING by Walter Wintle

https://www.yowbaby.com/ IF YOU THINK YOU ARE BEATEN, YOU ARE; IF YOU THINK YOU DARE NOT, YOU DON'T. IF YOU'D LIKE TO WIN, BUT THINK YOU CAN'T, IT'S ALMOST A CINCH YOU WON'T. IF YOU THINK YOU'LL LOSE, YOU'RE LOST; FOR OUT OF THE WORLD WE FIND SUCCESS BEGINS WITH A FELLOW'S WILL; IT'S ALL IN THE STATE OF MIND. IF YOU THINK YOU'RE OUTCLASSED, YOU ARE; YOU'VE GOT TO THINK HIGH TO RISE. YOU'VE GOT TO BE SURE OF YOURSELF BEFORE YOU CAN EVER WIN THE PRIZE. LIFE'S BATTLES DON'T ALWAYS GO TO THE STRONGER OR FASTER MAN; BUT SOON OR LATE THE MAN WHO WINS, IS THE MAN WHO THINKS HE CAN!

CHANGES

My last post was over a year ago.   So many things can change in just one year.  Transitional moves like Love to Hate to Love.  Crowded to Alone to Surrounded.  Oklahoma to Texas to Michigan.  Independent to Alone to Dependent.   I can keep going, but why?  First, no none really knows what all that means. Just me. Just the memories swirling around in a person's head.  The point is, it's been quite a while since I've  put the pen to the paper.  Many times I've thought about sharing, but I just didn't.  (Also, I was too cheap to buy internet for myself and you need the internet to blog.)  That's too bad, though, for me.  Maybe not others. It's been really hard lately dealing with my grandmother.  She's 95 now.  I reread my "I Don't Know" post that I wrote last year the day before my birthday.  Life in Lawton I know now, is easy.  Slow, but easy.  Time brings clarity.  Reading that w...

"I DON'T KNOW"

That's the words that were ringing tonight at what I was expecting to be a reprieve from all the madness I keep experiencing.  You see, I'm a square dancer.  I'm a court reporter.  I'm a caretaker.  I'm a musician. I'm a really big dreamer.  Lately, I feel like a loser.   So no matter how well-meaning everyone was, going to our club dinner and having everyone ask, "Where do you work at now?", well, it just sucked. Tomorrow is my 48th birthday and I'm still here with my grandmother helping her out.  Or is she helping me out.  I tell you, when I first arrived here from El Paso, I was not me.  It was such a horrible time in my life. My whole world had crumbled and here I was in a situation I'd never dream of, of having to take care of my 91-year-old grandmother who, as it turned out, was not the grandmother I had always thought she was.  I guess that can go both ways.  Maybe I ended up changing to her and she could say the same thing...
