UGH!!

Honestly, come on! This doesn't even make any sense.
"Are we sick?"
"No.  Not sick."
"Are we overwhelmed?"
"No.  Not overwhelmed."
"Calling in for backup when not needed.  Yep.  That's got to be it."

That's not the way things are done.  A case of too many cooks in the kitchen can spoil the broth.  Yeah, that's actually true.  What ain't broke, don't fix it.  Well-oiled gears.   You know, all those little sayings that do have a lot of meaning.

New faces, new changes.  It's like a double-edged sword.  They're great, but they have no clue to the way things are always done throughout the whole system.  Tweeks can be good.  Sometimes.

Sometimes not.  Life isn't a game of hopscotch where you can throw a pebble, land on a square and jump right into the game.  Probably the playground monitor should assign everyone to their own hopscotch board.  There's probably room for that.  Keeps the pebbles straight that way.  Nobody wants to end up in the corner of the playground just staring on as others play the game.

Nope.  Not at all.

Maybe it's time to channel a little bit of the playground bully spirit to shake things up a little bit?

THINKING by Walter Wintle

https://www.yowbaby.com/ IF YOU THINK YOU ARE BEATEN, YOU ARE; IF YOU THINK YOU DARE NOT, YOU DON'T. IF YOU'D LIKE TO WIN, BUT THINK YOU CAN'T, IT'S ALMOST A CINCH YOU WON'T. IF YOU THINK YOU'LL LOSE, YOU'RE LOST; FOR OUT OF THE WORLD WE FIND SUCCESS BEGINS WITH A FELLOW'S WILL; IT'S ALL IN THE STATE OF MIND. IF YOU THINK YOU'RE OUTCLASSED, YOU ARE; YOU'VE GOT TO THINK HIGH TO RISE. YOU'VE GOT TO BE SURE OF YOURSELF BEFORE YOU CAN EVER WIN THE PRIZE. LIFE'S BATTLES DON'T ALWAYS GO TO THE STRONGER OR FASTER MAN; BUT SOON OR LATE THE MAN WHO WINS, IS THE MAN WHO THINKS HE CAN!

"I DON'T KNOW"

That's the words that were ringing tonight at what I was expecting to be a reprieve from all the madness I keep experiencing.  You see, I'm a square dancer.  I'm a court reporter.  I'm a caretaker.  I'm a musician. I'm a really big dreamer.  Lately, I feel like a loser.   So no matter how well-meaning everyone was, going to our club dinner and having everyone ask, "Where do you work at now?", well, it just sucked. Tomorrow is my 48th birthday and I'm still here with my grandmother helping her out.  Or is she helping me out.  I tell you, when I first arrived here from El Paso, I was not me.  It was such a horrible time in my life. My whole world had crumbled and here I was in a situation I'd never dream of, of having to take care of my 91-year-old grandmother who, as it turned out, was not the grandmother I had always thought she was.  I guess that can go both ways.  Maybe I ended up changing to her and she could say the same thing...

WHAT A TRIP!!

Sometimes I wonder about myself.  I don't know what it is, but during my daily routine when things happen, they're very entertaining. I went to San Diego on Thursday.  Yuppers, flew from Lawton again.   Yes, Lawton's flights get cancelled all the time.  It's not the outgoing flight that's the problem, but the return flight.  Which, yeah.  It did.  It got cancelled on the way back from this trip, also.   However, this time they gave me a hotel.  Usually, I end up spending the night in the airport.  Three times I've done that.  Not cool. Not cool at all.  You'd think I would have learned by now, nope.  Plus, the airport is sooo convenient distancewise so I keep going back for more.  So, yes, I did it again. I flew from Lawton. I'm on the 10:10 morning flight. Boarding time is 9:40.  We're good.  No worries. I got this.  I did have a busy night getting ready with all the normal stuff, plus throwing in ...
